EWORK QUICK SCAN
| Wasting time in traffic jams on your way to the office? | Or: do you start working in a relaxed way at your home-PC? |
![]() | |
In 1995, the EwerkForum was founded to do something about the traffic-jams on the highways. Looking today at our highways it seems to be worse than ever: we see how dramatically larger the traffic-jam problem in the Netherlands has become in 10 years time. Eworking (telework, mobile work, telephone- and videoconferencing) is one of the best means to deal with our restricted road network. We may speak in this respect of the ‘digital highway’ as a good substitute for the asphalt road. People do not need to meet face-to-face at all times: now there is new technology that enables the New Way of Working.
Secondly, Eworking is an approved means to reduce CO2-emission in the Netherlands.
Thirdly, the nature and the concept of working has changed dramatically in the previous decades. The work has become more flexible, using ICT- and mobile ways of working (at home, on the road, in a hotel or in the office), at any time (24-hrs. economy). The high penetration of hardware at home (PC, laptops and smartphones) and fast roll out of broadband in our country has simplified and accelerated this process: For this reason the Netherlands is on the 1st position internationally in this area.
Finally. eworking leads to a better work-life balance, a lower sick leave, an excellent motive to hire and retain the best employees and a larger time efficiency.
Quick Scan Eworking, something for you?
Although more and more organisations discover the advantages of eworking, getting started is not always that easy. Sometimes there is a lack of knowledge and experience with eworking in the organisation. Employers and employees usually have a lot of questions concerning the introducing of eworking and the impact on the organisation.
By means of a Quick Scan the EwerkForum can assess, together with the employer, whether and how setting-up of the concept of eworking can be started and implemented. Usually, the following points will be considered and reviewed:
- How do you start / introduce this New Way Of Working?
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of working from distance?
- What are the possible pitfalls?
- Is it necessary to do a pilot first?
- Which functions are ‘eworkable’ and which are not?
- Work in virtual teams: what does that mean to my organisation?
- What about the costs?
- What are the tax- and regulatory issues regarding eworking in the Netherlands?
How does it work, a Quick Scan?
One of our ework-consultants visits your office during a half-day session and would like to have intake interviews with a few key persons in your organisation; after that we spend half a day to produce a concise and transparent report with our recommendations. In this way you will know within one week’s time which direction to go. Your investment for this Quick scan amounts € 2500, excl. VAT.
